Hi, try the two competitive missions, Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood. You will receive faction there as well for each battle.

I haven't gotten there yet, but my chars have a tad of faction via the Faction quests in Tyria before Factions was released all 5 of them now there are only 3 though, it should still help.

There are repeatable quests.

The one most people use is the Duel Quest just outside the north exist of Braur Academy on the Kurzich side.

Takes about ~4mins and you get 400 faction. Just rezone and the quest is back again.

There are Luxon side equals to this quest, but I'm no Luxon so I dont know.

I'm having the same problem, Chrisitie. I have 5,500 Lux. Faction and have done all the Luxon quests i can find. I've tried the Jade Quarry thing but there's always no opposing party. Spent about hlf an hour doing one outside Breaker Hollow for a mere 400 faction. ~~

I suggest doing the Arena quest on the luxon side.

strange, you should have enough from the quests. i had about 1750 faction from the Tyrian based quests previously, and on my monk i just did all the luxon quests i could find from Cavalon and from exploring a bit you can find repeatable quests; there's two of them in the Maishang Hills or however it's spelt, both are just outside outposts there in the north-west and south-west corner roughly.

I had the same problem. I had one quest undone in the beginning called "Naga Oil". Players who move their character from Tyria to Kaineng have no chance to get a Naga Pelt in the beginning, so I moved on in the story line as far as I could. I got to Cavalon, did all quests that were available for me, and all missions. I probably had 9000 faction, and then suddenly the Jadeite-Trader was working so I converted 7000 faction into Jadeit. The next day I had to buy Naga Pelts for my last quest as I was "stuck" and there was no way for me to continue the story. After finishing "Naga Oil" some new quests became available for me including the 10k faction quest.......
In the last days I did 20 repeatable quests, and finally I have my 10k faction.
I'd say the easiest repeatable quest is the one outside "Breaker Hollow" which took me around 10-12 minutes each time with 7 henchies. And I'm almost a "Treasure hunter" as I always opened 2-4 Luxon Chests each run.

Just got enlightened in game:

Luxon people can repeat a supply quest just outside of Breaker Hollow (south exit). Bring running skills and mending or something and earn 400 faction every 2 mins. Easier than it looks.

there are a lot of quests out in the explorable areas that give you faction. That got me to 7kish Faction with Luxon, then I alliance battled the rest.

yeah, you can do that but man it is so repetitive and gets boring quick. just do some alliance battles. you usually get 700+ factions each time you win and it is fun. but doing the quests, you're guaranteed 400 factions each time unlike doing alliance battles when you lose

oh btw christie, if you're looking for more luxon factions. there are two other repeatable quests that gives you 400 factions for luxons. the one outside bai paasu reach "in the army" and the other outside eredon terrace "scouting maishang hills".

Find a luxon guild and talk to the alliance battle guy. They are fun battles and the fastest factions. =)

That's strange, because I tried the Jade Quarry yesterday and got in first time. However I'm sure that fewer people do those missions, as you can't choose who you go in with.

What exactly is the point of doing those two missions? Is it just to get a little faction, or does playing them help move the border? And does anyone know what moving the border actually does? Because currently I'm not sure what the point of it is.

On the Luxon side there are two repeatable quests in the same area. Right outside the towns of Bai Pasau Reach and Eredon Terrace. It is somewhat of a grind but you can clear the area and do both quest fairly easy for 800 faction. Can be done easy with henchies.

FF luxon is incredibly hard for a nuker...your spells get interrupted when you do any of the quests and you can't run anywhere without being killed...

Since I'm not in a guild...is there an easier way to get faction? I personally don't agree wtih the faction quest (10k faction) because it has produced more faction farmers and less people who are interested in doing the quests. This invariably makes it hard to do the quests if you don't have a farm/solo build and makes it almost impossible to therefore continue the game.

Jade arena is the easyest and quickst way to get luxon faction. Its also good for treasure hunters.
